On July 29th local time, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a joint statement between Iran and Gambia on the formal resumption of diplomatic relations. The statement stated that in order to ensure the common interests of the two countries, Iran and Gambia have decided to officially resume diplomatic relations from July 29th.
