Musk announces the fifth test flight time of SpaceX Starship, with an expected success rate of 50%

On Sunday local time, Musk revealed during the X Takeover live broadcast event that SpaceX’s fifth Starship Orbital Test Flight (IFT-5) is expected to take place at the end of August or early September, consisting of a combination of an overweight booster (B12) and a Starship spacecraft (S30). Musk predicts that the success rate of capturing and recovering the “overweight booster” in this mission is only 50%, while the probability of the starship’s insulation tiles/shields remaining intact after re-entry into the atmosphere is about 60%.
