As of the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.13%, the Nasdaq rose 0.83% to a new closing high, and the S&P 500 index rose 0.27%. Most Chinese concept stocks rose, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rising 0.79%.
