Japan will begin issuing a new version of banknotes on July 3rd, marking the first change in banknote design in 20 years. As one of the anti-counterfeiting measures, banknotes will be printed using holographic technology to present a three-dimensional rotating effect on the portraits of historical figures on the banknotes.
