The Fuyang Municipal Party Committee and Government attach great importance to it and have decided to establish an investigation team led by officials from the Municipal Party Committee and Government, consisting of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission, the Municipal Forestry Bureau, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the Yingdong District Government, to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the death of wild animals. The subsequent investigation and disposal results will be promptly disclosed to the public.

On May 13, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Fuyang City, Anhui Province issued a report on the online public opinion about the death of wild animals in Yingdong District Private Zoo. On the morning of May 13, 2024, the Chinese philanthropist magazine WeChat official account released an article titled “Investigation | Death of 20 Siberian tigers”, reflecting that “many animals died abnormally in a private wild zoo in Yingdong District, Fuyang City, and the living conditions of the surviving animals were poor”.
