The meeting pointed out that in recent years, the joint protection and governance of ecological environment in the Yangtze River Delta region have been solidly promoted, new achievements have been made in regional pollution prevention and control, new progress has been made in green and low-carbon transformation, new breakthroughs have been made in natural ecosystems, and new achievements have been made in integrated institutional innovation. The quality of regional ecological environment has significantly improved. The current situation of ecological environment protection in the Yangtze River Delta region is still severe, and there are still challenges in promoting high-level protection and high-quality development in a coordinated manner.
The meeting clearly stated that the three provinces, one city, and relevant national departments should closely cooperate to jointly explore and innovate the construction of the beautiful Yangtze River Delta in four aspects: promoting green and low-carbon development, fundamentally improving the ecological environment, building an ecological security pattern, and deepening the reform of the ecological civilization system.
