Putin nominated Mishusky as the new Prime Minister of Russia’s government

After Putin officially took office as the new President of Russia on the 7th, the previous Russian government resigned according to relevant procedures, and Mishusky fulfilled his duties as acting Prime Minister before the new government was officially established.

On the 10th, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma (Lower House of Parliament), Volodyn, posted on social media that Russian President Putin has nominated the current Prime Minister, Mishusky, to the State Duma as the new Prime Minister of the government.

According to the Russian Constitution, nominations must be reviewed and approved by the State Duma. According to today’s Russian news agency, after Putin officially took office as the new President of Russia on the 7th, the previous Russian government resigned according to relevant procedures, and Mishusky fulfilled his duties as acting prime minister before the new government was officially established. The selection of the new Prime Minister of the government will be reviewed at the National Duma Plenary Session starting later on the 10th.

58 year old Mishusky has been serving as the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation since January 2020.
